I am watching a documentary about Earth and Space called The Overview Effect. Truly inspiring stuff.

Upon listening to the many articulate astronauts I honestly-genuinely-literally uttered “Those astronauts are so down to earth”… and then I celebrated my awesomeness.

Key quote “We have to start acting as one species, with one destiny. We are not going to survive if we don’t do that.”

"Earth is an oasis against a backdrop of infinity"

I’ve never felt too connected to Earth, I was always a dreamer; I love flying simply because it places me in the sky, and I think this documentary is changing me.

Thank you to all involved in getting Apollo 8 to the moon.

Aside: Astronauts are pretty much the only people who understand that Africa is a continent and thus refer to it accordingly. As opposed to those people that are too entitled to respect that this huge continent contains countries.
Also, when they say ‘cosmic’ they are not being hippies about it.
